Happy Thanksgiving!

I sit here this Thanksgiving morning. Floors to sweep, sweet potato casserole to make, need to scan the house to create a nice place for our guests to enjoy. But I take this quiet moment to spend time with you. I am grateful for you my readers. Thank you for being here.
This special holiday is a time to reflect on our blessings and express gratitude for all the good things in our lives. May your Thanksgiving be filled with love, laughter, and joy as you gather with loved ones to share a delicious feast and create cherished memories. Or you may be spending Thanksgiving alone this year and that blessing allows you time and peace to really focus on the many blessings you have. Just because loved ones, family or friends, are not in the room with you doesn’t diminish the love and blessing you share with each other.
I saw some Thanksgiving memories online that brought a smile to my face and I hope to yours. Let’s look at some past “The Saturday Evening Post” Thanksgiving memories from days gone by…

Or maybe this one will bring a smile to your face.

Aren’t these precious?? What is your favorite Thanksgiving memory?
On this day, let us remember to appreciate the simple pleasures, the warmth of family and friends, and the abundance that surrounds us.
As you sit around the table, enjoying a scrumptious meal, let the spirit of Thanksgiving fill your heart with gratitude and appreciation. May this day be a reminder to be grateful not just on this occasion but throughout the year.
Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with happiness, peace, and an abundance of blessings. Enjoy this special time with your loved ones, making beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
What a bounty of blessings we have to be thankful for. Let us pray to our Generous God who has given us so much.
Loving God, We thank you for all of the blessings that we are remembering today. Your love shines bright! We thank you for all of the family and friends that we have in our life and for the ones yet to come. We thank you for always being with us, even when we ignore your prescience.
We ask you today to bring love, happiness and many blessings to your child reading this post today. I join my plea with their prayers. Jesus Christ said “Where two or three gather”. We claim that promise. May their prayer be answered by You God.
We ask you to surround the people across the world who are being held captive due to war, hatred, or evilness in this world. Please hold those who are ill, physically , mentally or spiritually. Heal them please.
We pray for the needs of all concerns that we know of and we pray for those people and needs that only you are aware of.
You are so generous with your love, peace, blessings and sacrifices that you have given and will continue to give for our benefit. Thank you Father.
In the name of your child, Jesus Christ we praise you and Thank you! Amen.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃🍁🍽️
Matthew 18:19-20 RSV Our Savior, Jesus Christ who hung on the cross for forgiveness of our sins said:
19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
