On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, our family gathers together, except those who work, to kick off the Christmas Season. We have our Annual Christmas Cookie Party.

It all started because my granddaughter Peyton, said that she wanted to make Christmas Cookies with her grandma. That’s me!

Some years, We have had the Stuffed Christmas Sock Swap. They are stuffed with Candy and treats by the giver. In this picture, the goodies were taken out to model everyone’s new Christmas Socks. We are doing this again this year. My niece’s husband, James, asked if we could do this again. So see this isn’t just women and children. It’s fun for everyone!

Another activity that we have enjoyed is the Saran Wrap Ball. You sit in a circle at a table and you have 30 seconds to try to unwrap the saran wrap so goodies might fall out. This is very popular!

But regardless which activity you are doing with love ones, lets always remember that it is the memories with others that we look back on to be inspired, motivated and strengthened us during the hard times. Feel the love!

Got to go. Cookies in the oven. Socks need stuffing. Get the pizza. Party starts soon.
Please share ways that you have created memories! Let’s inspire others to enjoy life! Add in a Comment below.

Dear Loving God, Please be with those today who are feeling lonely, exhausted or depressed. We all have days or times where we are not feeling loved or appreciated. Nudge us to make the connection with family or friends to refuel the joy and happiness in our lives. We praise you. Amen!
