A humble woman prays

My mother always taught us to do for others but always strive to be unseen, when possible.

The joy of helping is grand, isn’t it? To see a need of someone and take action is a touching, caring example of humanity. It could be “paying it forward”, Pass it on, sending cash to someone in financial need without a note or return address, leaving a box at the doorstep, or any help that can’t be hidden although you tried so hard! Whatever your act of kindness is, Bless you for caring and doing for another human being. Isn’t that why we are here?

The feeling of needing help, not so much. But we all have needed help at some time or other. And doesn’t it lighten your heart and increase your piece of mind to know that someone cares and is there when you needed help. Yes it feels good and reassuring.

God’s Word tells us tells us to love:

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens and so you will fulfill the Law of Christ.

Psalm 41:1 Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him

Psalm 72:12 For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.

Proverbs 14:21 Whoever despises his neighbor is a sinner, but blessed is he who is generous to the poor

May The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

Who will you share a kindness with today?

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, We thank you for creating humans with the ability to feel compassion and empathy for others and to help them with the gifts and talents that you have given us. Please open our eyes and hearts to see and aid those in need or to give an act of kindness to cheer and encourage others. We pray for acts of kindness, assistance to others and other actions that you lead your children to do for others to be copied for others. Pay them forward”. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
