A humble woman who prays:
That is me, to put it simply. No one fancy. No one famous. Just me. A simple woman who tries to follow the lead of Christ and to serve as Jesus Christ has shown us to serve God and others.

May Christ shine in you and from you!

Wonderful Women in Christ- Lydia- Have you heard of her?

Last Sunday during church, a four year old precious girl decided to speak to the pastor during Children’s Church. She shared that God loves everyone regardless what they look like, if they know it or well God loves everyone! She is right! God does love everyone!

Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world!

Luke 18:15-17

People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

In Today’s World

As you probably know the message during the Children’s Church is listened to closely by children and adults. So we will share the Wonderful Women in Christ focus on Lydia via a child’s message. Please share your thoughts.

Lydia of Thyatira was a well to do business woman. A maker of Purple material. See the child’s video below to learn about the woman who created the first Christian church.

Lydia shared the Gospel with as much enthusiasm as the 4 year old little girl in front of the church Sunday. We are all to share Christ’s message with others. Do we share it? Do we share it with the joy and love of Lydia and children?

Let us pray

Oh Heavenly Father, We pray to have our voices and our hearts share the truth of Christ to all around us. May Lydia and the children stir our voices to lift your Glory, your Son and your Word. In the name of your son, we pray. Amen!
