Yesterday, March 24, 2024 was recognized as Palm/Passion Sunday. Our church service included praise, prayers and hymns to remember the day that many loved and waved palm leaves to show love and support for our Lord which quickly turned to calls for his death. We also celebrated with prayers and our choir sang a beautiful Easter Cantata “Jesus, the Undefeated One”.
From the PC(USA) church website:
Palm Sunday begins Holy Week. It is the day we remember and celebrate when Jesus entered into
Jerusalem as Savior and King. As Jesus rode a donkey into the town of Jerusalem a large crowd
gathered and laid palm branches and their cloaks across the road, giving Jesus royal treatment. The
hundreds of people shouted “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of
the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
Almighty Loving God, Thank you for sending your son to offer us forgiveness and everlasting life! Amen.
