A humble woman who prays:
That is me, to put it simply. No one fancy. No one famous. Just me. A simple woman who tries to follow the lead of Christ and to serve as Jesus Christ has shown us to serve God and others.

May Christ shine in you and from you!

I remember you in my prayers. Philemon 1:4

As many of you know, I am blessed to be able to visit nursing homes, friends in need and those hospitalized weekly. I enjoy visiting those in need or who are are unable to get out due to illness or injury, mobility issues, loss of driving, or other reasons.

Today I am asking for your prayers, not for me but, for a few ladies that I visit.

I began visiting because of friends and church members who are living or temporarily staying in the care facilities. As I visit them every week, I have met other residents along the way. Often they are around us during our visits with friends. They may start talking to me or I always try to bring others into a conversation. Sometimes a caring nurse will let me know someone new could benefit from a visit.

They don’t belong to our church but that doesn’t matter. We all like to belong and be part of the activity. They are people who enjoy the visit and getting to share their story in life. Everyone’s life story is interesting and important.

So I visit about 6 people at one facility and more at other locations. Some enjoy my visits as much as I do. Many remember me while some have dementia and get to meet a friendly stranger every Monday (who knows their story :).

I care for each person that I visit and become friends with.

Today’s visit has me asking you for prayers for two feisty ladies, Helen and Dorcas. One is 89 and the other is 93. I miss them because I haven’t been able to visit with them for 2 weeks, today being the 3rd Monday. Their hall has a few C-virus cases. I know from nurses that they are happy and fine but I still worry. Please pray for them and all affected by this rascal of a virus. Thank you for your prayers.
