A humble woman prays

Being a teenage girl is tough. We wonder how we got through our teenage years. And we may now wonder if we will get through theirs.

I wrote this for my precious teenage granddaughter, Peyton.

Perhaps this may be an encouragement for your teenage girl.

This is my first poem. Be kind.

*A POEM FOR YOU, my Precious Girl! *

Being a Teenage Girl

We go through times of laughter,

We go through times of trouble,

We go through many changes,

We go through heartbreaks too,

We go through dumb choices and big mistakes

that teach us along the way.

Being a teenage girl is tough but every woman went through it too.

Life may seem pretty tough night now, but you will find your way.

You will make it out okay!

Everyone has done that thing,

They can’t believe they did.

Even if they don’t tell you, they did something stupid too.

Keep walking, keep stepping, and you will get through.

Being a teenage girl, isn’t easy.

But you can do this!  I know you can!  Someone believes in You!

Don’t look at the past.

Don’t dwell on the fear.

Don’t doubt yourself or feel less than them.

Always face forward.

Keep moving and stretching and finding your way

One day, after all the ups and downs and turnarounds,

You will be the perfect You!

I love you and am so proud of you Peyton, Love, grandma
